SINCE 1987

Le Marché is the first and largest fully integrated furniture, material and home accessories exhibition in the Middle East and Africa region. An exciting and vibrant design festival that connects the industry’s best designers, furnishing suppliers and producers with thousands of visitors and professionals.

The late Sania El-Sabaey first dreamed of creating an exhibition where visitors could buy quality homeware in one place, and Tarek Nour brought her vision to life in 1987 with a small event over 1,200 square meters, held at Semiramis InterContinental.

Le Marché now welcomes 85,000+ visitors annually across an exhibition area of 80,000 square meters. Every year Le Marché brings 300+ international and local brands, all competing to showcase their state-of-the-art home concepts and products, all competing to showcase their state-of-the-art home concepts and products. The exhibition combines the full supply and demand of manufacturers, traders, businessmen and consumers under one roof, connecting local furniture manufacturers with the international trade community and a new audience.

There are two rounds a year, one at the start of summer and another at the beginning of the winter season. A diverse range of visitors travel from the local area and beyond to find quality goods and experience beautiful craftmanship in a vibrant marketplace, often with unprecedented discounts and offers.

At the core of Le Marché’s work is a commitment to customer convenience. The exhibition has responded to changing demands over the years, introducing new initiatives such as payment plans to help visitors access items for their homes. Le Marché is a place where trendy newlyweds and property developers alike can find the best of the best. All tastes and lifestyles are catered to, from traditional rustic handmade items to contemporary, sleek steel designs.

Ever evolving, we are now planning to take our brand to a wider audience, going cross-boarders to the Middle East and Africa.

Here’s to the next 30 years!

Saneya “Soussou” El-Sabaey A woman of substance.

If you don’t go, you won’t know!

This is the guiding principle that we have always lived by at Le Marché, and here we are today; the oldest and largest specialized furniture exhibition in the Middle East and Africa. Le Marché is a true representation of the term “best of the best”. It is where the recognition of a fascinating group of talented entrepreneurs all comes under one sky. People who take deep pride in their work and thus create with ultimate precision and love. .

Le Marché is a byproduct of fearless imagination; a vision of an amazing woman who turned her dream into an enduring reality. She created the name, the image, the concept and, most importantly, the uncanny art of curiosity to feel and touch the world we live in.

“Soussou” El-Sabaey called every one of those talented entrepreneurs in person. She wanted to show them off, she wanted people to know them and about them. Her famous line, “Give me a call, I’ll do it all” started what is now recognized as the most exclusive showpiece in our motherland.

Although not with us in body, her spirit still drives us to do better every year, every time, everywhere.

She was a woman of substance.

She is the true founder of Le Marché.

Forever yours, Soussou.
